Snowy Winter Birch Tree Art
Oct 22, 2022This week I received some photos from my brother in Tasmania of his front lawn covered in snow! Winter has certainly left us rugging up in our beanies and coats for our walks lately, and there are a few too many rainy days to count!
I had so much fun creating this snowy scene on those inside winter days. I used watercolour paints with two extra unusual materials ... masking tape and salt! The masking tape helped me create some crisp white birch trees and the salt was used to create speckly texture for the night sky.
This art activity spanned over too days so that our watercolour paint could dry before adding some extra details to our birch trees.
You can paint along with me by following this video to create your own winter scene!
